The space shuttle Endeavour and its crew including astronaut Wakata landed safely on the runway of the Kennedy Space Center (KSC) at 11:48 p.m., July 31.
The STS-127 crew members including JAXA astronaut Koichi Wakata concentrated on the preparations for landing on FD17.
Aboard the space shuttle Endeavour, the STS-127 Mission crew carried out the shuttle’s heat shield inspection known as “late inspection” using Space Shuttle's robotic arm (SRMS) and the Orbiter Boom Sensor System (OBSS).

The Kibo Experiment Logistics Module-Exposed Section (ELM-ES) was removed from the Kibo Exposed Section (ES) and was reloaded to Endeavour’s payload bay at 10:42 p.m. July 26.
Today, the STS-127 Mission and the International Space Station crewmembers took some off-duty time.
On the flight day (FD) 10, the crew conducted the EVA#4 and continued changing the batteries on the P6 truss, part of which was deferred task from the EVA#3.
The payloads carried on the Kibo Experiment Logistics Module-Exposed Section (ELM-ES) were transferred to their designated locations on the Kibo Exposed Facility (EF).
The main activity on the flight day (FD) 8 was the 3rd Extravehicular Activity (EVA#3) which featured preparation for transferring payloads carried on the Kibo Experiment Logistics Module Exposed Section (ELM-ES) to the Kibo Exposed Section (ES), and changing of batteries on the P6 truss.
