Space Shuttle Discovery's Rollout. Kibo PM, JEMRMS were transferred into the shuttle's payload bay. / STS-124 Mission crew arrived at KSC for dress rehearsal. (May 7, 2008)

On May 3 (JST), the space shuttle Discovery rolled out from the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) to the launch pad 39A. The PM and JEMRMS were loaded into the shuttle’s payload bay on May 5 (EDT). On May 6, (EDT), the STS-124 Mission crewmembers flew to KSC for the STS-124 prelaunch rehearsal.

Kibo Pressurized Module (PM) and JEM Remote Manipulator System (JEMRMS) arrived at Launch Pad 39A. (May 2, 2008)

The canister carrying the STS-124 payloads, Kibo’s Pressurized Module (PM) and Remote Manipulator System (JEMRMS), arrived at the launch pad April 29 (US Eastern Daylight Time: EDT).

Space Shuttle Discovery joined with External Tank (ET) and Solid Rocket Booster (SRB) (April 30, 2008)

Space shuttle Discovery was mated with External Tank (ET) and twin Solid Rocket Boosters (SRBs) at Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) in NASA Kennedy Space Center (KSC) on April 26, 2008 (US Eastern Daylight Time: EDT).

Flight Day 17 (March 27, 2008)

The space shuttle Endeavour landed on the runway of the Kennedy Space Center (KSC) at 9:39 a.m. today.

Today, seven astronauts aboard the space shuttle Endeavour concentrated on the preparations for a landing on March 27, 2008.

Flight Day 15 (March 25, 2008)

The Space Shuttle Endeavour’s crew left the International Space Station (ISS) at 9:25 a.m. today after completing a successful 12-day docked operation.

Flight Day 14 (March 24, 2008)

The ISS and STS-123 Mission crew participated in the joint crew news conference. In preparation for the undocking on FD15, the STS-123 Mission crewmembers checked out the rendezvous tools.

Flight Day 13 (March 23, 2008)

Today, a pair of spacewalkers completed the mission’s fifth extravehicular activity (EVA#5).

Flight Day 12 (March 23, 2008)

Aboard the International Space Station (ISS), the STS-123 Mission crew carried out the shuttle’s heat shield inspection known as “late inspection” using the shuttle’s robotic arm (SRMS) and the orbiter boom sensor system (OBSS).

Flight Day 11 (March 21, 2008)

The mission’s fourth extravehicular activity (EVA#4) was carried out today by STS-123 mission specialists Robert Behnken and Mike Foreman.
