Today, the mission’s third and final Extravehicular Activity (EVA) was conducted and all the scheduled tasks plus some get-ahead tasks were accomplished. Inside the ISS, the crew outfitted the vestibule between the Kibo’s Experiment Logistics Module-Pressurized Section (ELM-PS) and Pressurized Module (PM) in preparation for the ingress to the ELM-PS scheduled tomorrow.
JEM Robotic Manipulator System (JEMRMS) was partly deployed after its Hold and Release Mechanism (HRM) was released, while the Heater Controller (HCTL) for the hatchway between the Kibo Pressurized Module (PM) and the Kibo Experiment Logistics Module-Pressurized Section (ELM-PS) was activated. Astronaut Hoshide participated in PAO events, including VIP call from Yasuo Fukuda, Prime Minister of Japan.
The Kibo Experiment Logistics Mogule-Pressurized Section (ELM-PS) was relocated to its permanent home at the top of Kibo Pressurized Module (PM) and JEM Robotic Manipulator System (JEMRMS) was activated, while outfitting of inside Kibo PM continued.
