Flight Day 9

The payloads carried on the Kibo Experiment Logistics Module-Exposed Section (ELM-ES) were transferred to their designated locations on the Kibo Exposed Facility (EF).

Flight Day 8

The main activity on the flight day (FD) 8 was the 3rd Extravehicular Activity (EVA#3) which featured preparation for transferring payloads carried on the Kibo Experiment Logistics Module Exposed Section (ELM-ES) to the Kibo Exposed Section (ES), and changing of batteries on the P6 truss.

The Kibo's Experiment Logistics Module Exposed Section (ELM-ES) was installed on the Kibo's Exposed Facility (EF) at 11:35 p.m. July 21.

Flight Day 6

The STS-127 crew performed the six hour, 53 minute extravehicular excursion to transfer spare parts carried on the Integrated Cargo Vertical Light Deployable (ICC-VLD) to the External Stowage Platform 3 (EPS-3).

The Integrated Cargo Vertical Light Deployable (ICC-VLD) was removed from space shuttle Endeavour's payload bay, and was temporarily placed on the Payload and Orbital Replacement Unit Accommodation (POA) on the Mobile Base System (MBS).

With the Exposed Facility (EF) attached to the Pressurized Module (PM), Japanese Experiment Module "Kibo" is finally completed as a permanent on-orbit laboratory that offers both pressurized and exposed environments for scientific experiments.

Space shuttle Endeavour, delivering Kibo's Exposed Facility (EF) and the Experiment Logistics Module-Exposed Section (ELM-ES), docked with the International Space Station (ISS) today at 2:47 a.m.

Aboard the space shuttle Endeavour today, STS-127 crewmembers performed the inspection of the orbiter's Thermal Protection System (TPS) using the Shuttle Remote Manipulator System (SRMS) and the Orbiter Boom Sensor System (OBSS).
