Flight Day 7

On the flight day 7 (FD7), the Kibo's Experiment Logistics Module Exposed Section (ELM-ES) was installed on the Kibo's Exposed Facility (EF) .

ELM-ES was removed from Space Shuttle Endeavour's payload bay and was passed to the Space Station Remote Manipulator System (SSRMS) by the Shuttle Remote Manipulator System (SRMS) operated by Commander Mark Polansky and mission specialist Julie Payette. And then mission specialist Koichi Wakata and shuttle pilot Doug Hurley operated SSRMS and successfully installed ELM-ES on the EF at 11:35 p.m. July 21.

The other activities on FD7 were preparation for the 3rd Extravehicular Activity (EVA #3) including the removal of Integrated Cargo Vertical Light Deployable (ICC-VLD).
