STS-127 Terminal Countdown Demonstration Test (TCDT) Concluded

The STS-127 Mission crewmembers participated in the STS-127 Terminal Countdown Demonstration Test (TCDT) held at NASA Kennedy Space Center from June 2 through June 4, 2009.

During the TCDT, the STS-127 Mission crew carried out emergency drills at the launch pad checked out the payloads, the Kibo's Exposed Facility (EF) and Experiment Logistics Module-Exposed Section (ELM-ES), installed in the shuttle's payload bay. On the final day of the TCDT, the STS-127 Mission crewmembers donned their orange launch and entry suits, went aboard Endeavour and run through the launch countdown procedures. The STS-127 Mission crew and ground team simulated a sequence of the countdown procedures as if they have been experiencing the actual prelaunch activities.
