Flight Day 16

On the flight day (FD) 16, aboard the space shuttle Endeavour, the STS-127 crew members including JAXA astronaut Koichi Wakata concentrated on the preparations for landing on FD17.

The entire crew worked on the standard de-orbit preparations, including the crew cabin stow, the Flight Control System (FSC) checkout, Reaction Control System (RCS) thruster firing test, Ku-band stow. Meanwhile, they also deployed two pairs of small satellites and participated in the last PAO event before landing.

On FD17, Endeavour is scheduled to perform a deorbit engine firing at 10:42 p.m. and land at NASA Kennedy Space Center (KSC) at 11:48 p.m. July 31.

A second opportunity exists for a landing in Florida on FD17, landing at 1:22 a.m. August 1.
