NASA announced that the space shuttle Endeavour is scheduled to launch at 6:40 p.m. on June 17.

This is the second launch attempt for Endeavour after the June 13 launch was scrubbed due to a hydrogen leak at the Ground Umbilical Carrier Plate (GUCP) during tanking June 13.

The GUCP is the overboard vent used to carry excess hydrogen safely away from the launch pad. NASA engineers are replacing a seven inch quick disconnect on the hydrogen vent line to the GUCP leading into the Endeavour's external tank. The work is expected to be done by 4:00 a.m. on June 17.

NASA says there is an 80 percent chance of good weather for the scheduled launch date.
