NASA announced a 24-hour delay of the launch of space shuttle Endeavour's STS-127 mission, scheduled at 8:39 a.m. on July 12.
The delay was decided after the launch pad 39A where Endeavour was standing by was struck by lightening on 10 July local time. The delay allows the engineers more time to evaluate its potential impact to Endeavour's systems.
New launch time for Endeavour is set at 8:13 a.m. on July 13.
