Aboard the International Space Station (ISS), the two arms of Dextre (Special Purpose Dexterous Manipulator (SPDM)) set in motion for the first time on-orbit to conduct the break tests for the arms.

Inside the Japanese Experiment Logistics Module-Pressurized Section (ELM-PS), the work has continued ahead of schedule.
The supply/cargo transfer from the shuttle's middeck to the ISS also made good progress. The crew ended the day with the preparation for tomorrow's extravehicular activity (EVA#3).

Astronaut Doi's on-orbit activities (FD7)

The work inside the ELM-PS has been going extremely well.
Astronaut Takao Doi began the day with his exercise on the ergometer. After the exercise, he worked on preparation for the STS-124 Mission that was originally scheduled on FD8. Inside the ELM-PS, astronaut Doi sorted out the items that will be used during the STS-124 mission.

To search out an item or equipment is time-consuming job onboard the ISS since the items delivered to the ISS are stowed in stowage bags. When crew looks for an item or equipment to use, the crew will have to read the labels attached on the bags.

This preparation task would help and facilitate the tasks planned on the STS-124.

Astronaut Doi also carried out supply/cargo transfer. He is the mission's load master, and responsible for the status and progress of the transfer operations between Endeavour and the ISS.
