At the Launch Pad 2 of the Tanegashima Space Center (TNSC), the H-IIB launch vehicle's final launch preparation continues which is scheduled for 4:48 a.m., August 4. Launch countdown is scheduled to begin at 3:48 a.m., from one hour before launch.
The launch time of the H-IIB Launch Vehicle No. 4 with KOUNOTORI4 has been set for 4:48:46 a.m. on August 4, 2013.
In the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) of the Tanegashima Space Center (TNSC), late cargo accessing to the Pressurized Logistics Carrier (PLC) was done twice from July 31-August 1 for the cargo that needs to be loaded just prior to the launch, which includes experiment samples and space food.
On July 20, the encapsulated KOUNOTORI4 was transported from the Second Spacecraft and Fairing Assembly Building (SFA2) to the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB).
On July 11, the H-II Transfer Vehicle (HTV) KOUNOTORI4 was mated with the Payload Attach Fitting (PAF). Subsequently from July 13-18, the HTV was encapsulated in the payload fairing.
From June 24 to July 7, propellant (oxidizing agent and fuel) was filled in the HTV4's tank in the Second Spacecraft and Fairing Assembly Building (SFA2). Then, the tank pressure was confirmed that it was adjusted properly.
