The Exposed Pallet (EP) was reinstalled into the KOUNOTORI's Unpressurized Logistics Carrier (ULC) at 11:57 p.m. on February 7, 2011.
Aboard the ISS, operations to remove the Exposed Pallet (EP) from the Kibo's Exposed Facility (EF) began at 6:15 p.m. on February 7, 2011.
The Payload Flight Control Team (PL FCT) at the Kibo Mission Control Room (MCR) at the Tsukuba Space Center (TKSC) activated the KOBAIRO Rack on February 3. Right after the activation, the team detected some communication errors within the KOBAIRO Rack and stopped the checkout activities. Currently, the team is examining the initial data obtained during the activation. Setup of the sample cartridge into the rack by the ISS crew, which is originally scheduled on February 4, will be postponed until after the team confirms that all the rack's systems are functioning well.
Cargo transfer between KOUNOTORI2's Pressurized Logistics Carrier (PLC) and the ISS began on January 31. Besides the rack transfer/installation activities, the ISS crew performed preparation for robotic transfer of the Exposed Pallet (EP).
Space Station Remote Manipulator System (SSRMS) grappled KOUNOTORI's Exposed Pallet (EP) installed in the Unpressurized Logistics Carrier (ULC).
ISS Expedition 26 crew members opened the hatch of KOUNOTORI2 and entered the KOUNOTORI2's Pressurized Logistics Carrier (PLC) at 5: 47 a.m., January 28, 2011.
