Competition being finished:

Astronaut Mukai holds the
Mascot teddy bear.
Competition to complete astronaut Chiaki Mukai's poem and come up with a pet name for her teddy bear
has been finished by the end of November.
More than 40,000 people from inside of Japan and nearly 700 people from abroad have attended this competiton. Thank you for your cooperation.
November 7 (CST) Flight Day 10 Landing!

Discovery
Discovery's astronauts were awakened at 3:09 a.m. on the landing day (CST). The SPACEHAB was deactivated around 5:10 a.m. on November 7 (CST). The neural activity potential data of two oyster toadfishes continue to be recorded until the landing.

Space Shuttle Discovery with seven astronauts successfully landed at Kennedy Space Center at 12:04 p.m. (EST) on November 7. Upon arrival, Astronaut John Glenn spoke to the Mission Control, "We are back to the earth. I am very well. I feel 1G. I appreciate the great support of NASA team from the ground.''
