Principal Investigator of the experiment "Response dynamics of single afferent nerve fibers of the toadfish otolithic organs in microgravity" Two fish with chronic recording from their otolith nerves are flying aboardĀ@STS-95. The NASDA-MHI hardware has performed perfectly to date. Chiaki Mukai studied the experiment and its requirements with the P.I. before the flight and has enthusiastically performed the data acquisition and maneuvers related to the experiment. To date the experiment has been successful. This would not have been possible without the knowledge and cooperation of Dr. Mukai.
