KOUNOTORI2 Resumes Approach to the ISS(January 27, 2011)

KOUNOTORI2 left the AI point and resumed its approach toward the ISS at 5:25 p.m., January 27. Approximately one hour later, KOUNOTORI2 will reach 500m below the ISS, called R-bar Initiation (RI) point. From the RI point, KOUNOTORI2 will move closer to the ISS.

KOUNOTORI2 arrived at 5km behind the ISS, the Approach Initiation (AI) point, at 3:08 p.m., January 27. At the AI point, KOUNOTORI2 holds its approach and maintains the distance from the ISS while waiting for approval for further approach to the ISS.
