    • Berthing to the Common Berthing Mechanism (CBM) on the Harmony's Nadir Port
    • Vestibule outfitting (connection of power and communication line)

Hatch open
  • Crew ingress to the Pressurized Logistics Carrier (PLC)

    • Activation of the Inter-Module Ventilation (IMV)
Cargo transfer
  • Cargo Transfer from the PLC to the ISS
Transfer of the EP
  • Removal of the Exposed Pallet (EP) from the HTV's Unpressurized Logistics Carrier (ULC), and transfer to the ISS truss using the SSRMS/Mobaile Transporter (MT)
  • Transfer of the ISS battery ORUs assembled Japanese lithium-ion battery cells out of the EP using SPDM
  • Nickel hydride batteries currently used on the ISS will be replaced by the lithium-ion batteries delivered by KOUNOTORI.

  • Reinstallation of the EP back into the HTV's ULC
  • Due to Launch failure of Soyuz MS-10, HTV7 mission is changed to not reinstall the EP on ULC.

2 days before departing
  • Assemble HTV Small Re-entry Capsule (HSRC) Part 1
    • Unpack and assemble pressurized bulkhead (top board and cylinder) for HSRC, inside the Pressurized Logistics Carrier (PLC)
A day before
from the ISS
  • Assemble HSRC Part 2
    • Store collected samples in the HSRC container at “Kibo”
    • Install the separation mechanism onto HSRC and temporarily attach HSRC to the pressurized bulkhead
    • Combine HSRC with the pressurized bulkhead
    • Connect the pressurized bulkhead with cables
    • Install HSRC with pressurized bulkhead onto the hatch of HTV PLC
  • Preparation for the HTV Unberthing Operations
    • IMV de-activation
    • Switching of the communications line (Fixed line to radio wave)
Unberthing Day
  • HTV7 unberthing
    • Deactivation of HTV power supply from ISS
    • Disconnection of power and communication line
    • HTV grapple by the SSRMS
    • CBM bolts release
    • SSRMS moves HTV to the release position
    • Activation of the Guidance Navigation Control (GNC), activation of HTV propulsion system
    • SSRMS releases HTV
    • HTV begins separation maneuvers
De-orbit Maneuver
  • After de-orbit Maneuver, HTV Small Re-entry Capsule will be released
  • Reentry
