On January 16, 2017, from 6:10 p.m. - 7:50 p.m. (Japan time), a total of six microsatellites were successfully deployed into orbit from the Japanese Experiment Module ("Kibo").
Joint research by the Tokyo Institute of Technology and JAXA that studied the mechanisms of how bone mass decreases in microgravity using Medaka fish (Oryzias latipes) was conducted onboard the Japanese Experiment Module ("Kibo") of the International Space Station (ISS).
