H-II Transfer Vehicle KOUNOTORI (HTV)

HTV-1 arrived at 5km behind the ISS

The HTV-1 was successfully inserted into an orbit after completing the height adjustment maneuvers at 6:26 p.m. and 9:28 p.m. September 17. The HTV-1 has arrived at 5km behind the ISS (Approach Initiation: AI point) at 10:59 p.m. September 17.

The HTV-1 is now keeping this relative distance from the ISS, waiting for the time to resume its approach toward the ISS.
