From 11:27 a.m. (2:27 a.m. UTC), August 25, the removal of the HTV5 Exposed Pallet (EP) on the Unpressurized Logistics Carrier (ULC) was started by the Space Station Remote Manipulator System (SSRMS).

The EP was then transferred and attached to the Kibo's Exposed Facility (EF).

Meanwhile, Expedition 44 crew opened the hatch of KOUNOTORI5 and entered the KOUNOTORI5's Pressurized Logistics Carrier (PLC) at 7:24 p.m. (10:24 a.m. UTC), August 25.
