Extravehicular Activities (EVAs) for ISS construction

ISS construction requires extensive international cooperation and preparation activities. Technologies in the fields of extravehicular activities (EVAs) and robotics play major roles during the construction and maintenance of ISS. More than 600 tasks and 1260 hours of EVAs are estimated to complete ISS assembly.

Regardless of his or her nationality, an EVA crew member uses US's Extravehicular Mobility Unit (EMU) to conduct EVA at the USA segment. Russia's Orlan space suit is used to conduct EVA at the Russian segment.

This page will be updated as EVAs occur.
