For the Protein Crystal Growth experiment (JAXA PCG, first session of the third series) using the Japanese Experiment Module "Kibo" on the International Space Station (ISS), experiment materials and samples were launched aborad the 68 Progress resupply vehicle (68P) at 5:46 p.m. on October 14, 2017, and stowed in the Freezer-Refrigerator Of STirling cycle 2 (FROST2), a portable cryogenic freezer, in "Kibo" Pressurized Module (PM) on October 17.
The stowed samples will be crystalized and grown under the temperature controlled as 20 ℃ and returned to the ground on the Soyuz spacecraft in the mid-December.
