Space Poem Chain:
1st poem:
Astronaut Yamazaki will make a 5-line poem.
2nd poem:
Mr. Tanikawa will make a 3-line poem responding to the 1st poem.
3rd poem:
Mr. Ooka will make a 5-line poem responding to the 2nd poem.
Symposium:
The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd poems will be made public and applications will begin to be accepted on October 10, 2006.
4th poem and after:
Public applications and contributions will be compiled and edited.
The completed Space Poem Chain will be recorded on DVD and stored in the Japanese Experimental Module Kibo (gHopeh) of the International Space Station. (Scheduled for December 2007).
