Shuttle Status Before Launch (as of April 15 EDT)
One day before Space Shuttle launch


The countdown is under way for the April 16 launch of the space shuttle Columbia, a two-week life sciences research flight that will focus on the most complex and least understood part of the human body, the nervous system.

Tomorrow's launch crew activities are as follows:

7:00 a.m. Wake up
7:30 a.m. Breakfast
10:24 a.m. Don launch and entry suits
11:04 a.m. Depart for launch pad 39B
11:34 a.m. Arrive at white room and begin ingress
2:19 p.m. Launch
The orbiter Columbia
at Pad 39b
