Kibo-ABC Member country News: New Zealand's Latest Approaches to Kibo Utilization (March 29, 2019)

On the 8th of March, JAXA's KUOA office staff had the opportunity to discuss with the institutes and space agencies in New Zealand for coordination of future collaborations for Kibo Utilization in the Asia Pacific region.

On March 6th, JAXA's KUOA office staff had the opportunity to discuss with the institutes and space agencies of Australia for coordination of future collaborations for Kibo Utilization in the Asia Pacific region.

The CubeSats for SpooQy-1 handed over to JAXA. Launch preparation is going well! (March 8, 2019)

On February 18, 2019, one CubeSat (size is 3U) was designed and developed in Singapore by students of the National University of Singapore as SpooQy-1 was handed over to JAXA at the JAXA Tsukuba Space Center (TKSC).

Report from Kibo-ABC Workshop at the 25th APRSAF in Singapore (December 12, 2018)

The Kibo-ABC workshop, co-chaired by Mr. Cheng Hai Tan from SSTA and Mr. Fumiaki Tanigaki from JAXA, was held on November 6 at the Sheraton Towers Singapore.

Kibo-ABC Member Countries' News: Asian Try Zero-G 2018 Result Meeting (December 11, 2018)

On the 27th of July, the proposers of eight experiments performed at Asian Try Zero-G 2018 gave presentations of their results based on the on-orbit experiment, and had a discussion with the JAXA astronaut Norishige Kanai.

Kibo-ABC Members Participated in the Special Lecture of the "Protein Crystal Growth" Experiment (November 29, 2018)

Dr. Izumi Yoshizaki, the project manager of the JAXA Protein Crystal Growth project (JAXA PCG), joined the Kibo-ABC regular monthly web conference on September 27th to give a special lecture on the PCG experiment.

Malaysian Samples Handed Over to JAXA, Exposure Experiments on ExHAM starts next spring (November 8, 2018)

On November 2, 2018, Dr. Noramaliza Mohd Noor, a senior lecturer of Universiti Putra Malaysia, handed over samples of the Material Exposure Experiment to JAXA at the Tsukuba Space Center, while the researchers, ground operators and other stakeholders to the experiment were observing the sample inspection.

Kibo-ABC Members and Students from Philippines Participated in the Special Lecture of the "Double Layered Liquid Ball" Experiment (September 28, 2018)

Dr. Satoshi Matsumoto joined the Kibo-ABC regular monthly web conference on April 26th. He gave a special lecture on the "Double Layered Liquid Ball" experiment which was carried out as part of JAXA astronaut Norishge Kanai's Asian Try Zero-G 2018 in February 2018.

Kibo-ABC Member Countries' News: Asian Try Zero-G 2018 Ground Activities (July 20, 2018)

Asian Try Zero-G 2018 was successfully performed onboard the International Space Station (ISS)/Kibo on 13th February. Eight experiments (selected from over 160 proposals from over 360 Asian students and young engineers/researchers) were performed by JAXA astronaut Norishige Kanai.
