Asian Students' Parabolic Experiment Contest

Last Updated: June 26, 2014

The Asia-Pacific Regional Space Agency Forum (APRSAF) is a conference providing opportunities to discuss international cooperation for space activities in concrete terms. The Asian "Kibo" Mission Planning Task Force under the APRSAF space environment utilization working group has been jointly operating programs related to the utilization of the space environment. The programs include students' parabolic flight experiment contests and space seeds programs.

A microgravity state generated for about 20 seconds due to the parabolic flight of an aircraft is utilized for preliminary verification of various space operations and also for training and education purposes. Thai and Malaysian student teams have participated in the parabolic flight experiment program supervised by the task force.
