Yasuhiro Yotsumoto

Wakako Kaku

Born in Osaka, Japan in 1959, Yotsumoto began writing poetry in his late teens and published his first collection of poetry, "A Laughing Bug," in 1991. Since then he has published seven collections of poetry, including "Muddy Calender" (Co-authored with Inuo Taguchi, 2008), "Starboard of My Wife" (2006), and "The Golden Hour" (2004). His poems have been translated into more than ten languages. He is also active as an editor: since 2006, he has been National Editor of Poetry International Web - Japan, which introduces contemporary Japanese poets in English translation. He has also taken part in the recent launch of a new poetry magazine in Japan called "Beagle," of which he is an editor.
