
Agus R. Sarjono, born in Bandung, July 27, 1962, finished his education in FPBS, IKIP Bandung and got his Master in Indonesian Literature from Universitas Indo-nesia. He writes poems, short stories, essays, critics and drama, and until today he is a lecturer at The Theatre Department of STSI Bandung, and one of the editors of Indonesian's foremost Literary Magazine, Horison. His writings were published in many publications in Indonesia, Malay-sia, Brunei Darussalam, Germany, UK and USA. He also participated many international Poetry Festival and international literary events in Den Haag, Bremen, Berlin, Kuala Lumpur and Manila. He was a guest writer at The International Institute for Asian Studies (IIAS), Leiden (2001); and a guest writer at Heinrich-BoNll-Haus, Langenbroich, Germany (2002-2003). His German edition poetry book, Frische Knochen aus Banyuwangi was published in Berlin in early 2003. His other published poetry collections are: Kenduri Air Mata (1994, 1996); Suatu Cerita dari Negeri Angin (2001, 2003); Diterbangkan Kata-kata (2006, 2007); A Story from the Country of the Wind (2001), Bahasa dan Bonafiditas Hantu (Essay Collection 2001), Sastra dalam 4 Orba (2001), Atas Nama Cinta (Play, 2004). Some of his works have been translated into English, Arabs, Chinese, Dutch, German, French, and Serbian.
