Discovery over Indian Ocean |
STS-95 crew woke up at 7:10 a.m. and their busy day begins.
Crew members were working very busy to conduct space experiments. And Commander
Curtis Brown and John Glenn participated in the educational event to communicate
with several high school students in the United States. John Glenn said,
"I was more nervous 36 years ago than this time because we didn't
know much about the space those days." Curtis Brown delightedly talked,
"I slept well yesterday, but I had to try hard to let the other crew
members sleep, because they wanted to watch the earth for a long time."
Crews reported that the taste of drinking water was bad. The new system
generating the water was changed to the old one.

Japanase Experiments |
Astronaut Mukai pulled the fish packages out, and gave it a movement manually.
One of the oyster toad fishes turned over inside a fish package and its
continuous neural signal cannot be obtained.
Crew exposed the roots to electric fields for the experiment of "BRIC-RT
-@Response of roots of wild type and auxin/gravi-sensitivity mutants of
higher plants to electrical field and gravity" and she put the plastic
tube with cut stems contacting with an agar medium containing Auxin* in
a freezer. These samples will be analyzed when returned to earth.
