STS-95
crew's departure from Houston to Kennedy Space Center was four and a half
hours delayed due to a thunder storm in Houston area, and they arrived at
KSC at 7:30 p.m. by five T-38 Jet Trainers. While the director of KSC and
others welcome the crew, they lined up at the shuttle landing facility.
Commander Brown made a speech and finished saying that no Q&A is planned
for the day since they were late and the schedule is so tight for the days
to follow.
When
the crew started leaving the area media people shouted saying like "How
do you feel?". Then astronaut Glenn replied "Great ! Great!".
When media from Japan asked Astronaut Mukai "How do you think of flying
with Astronaut Glenn?" she answered "I am very happy, thank you".
The crew left the area at 7:42 p.m. and all of today's event was finished.
There will be no schedule change for tomorrow and the following days.
See the video library to watch crew
arrival.
