We, the Space Environment Utilization Working Group (SEUWG) Secretariat, are pleased to announce that the 1st Space Exploration and Kibo Utilization for Asia Workshop will be held on May 28, 2015, in Jakarta, Indonesia. The workshop is organized by SEUWG and will be hosted by the National Institute of Aeronautics and Space (LAPAN).

SEUWG was established as an opportunity for countries in the Asia-Pacific region to use the "Kibo" Japanese Experiment Module on the International Space Station (ISS/Kibo). For further utilization of the space environment, SEUWG shares needs and exchanges information on subjects related to the advantages and framework of using ISS/Kibo's special function.

SEUWG has begun exchanging information on space exploration and space medicine that was presented at APRSAF-21 to enhance cooperation in the region for future international exploration extending beyond the ISS program. To ensure steady progress (depending on capacity) in the region toward developing and conducting their missions, dedicated workshops will be held once a year to promote future international space exploration.

We would like to invite you to participate in the 1st Space Exploration and Kibo Utilization for Asia Workshop to share your profound experiences as well as your valuable thoughts and insights. Further information on the workshop, including objectives and a tentative program, is available on the APRSAF website as the First Announcement (http://www.aprsaf.org/working_groups/seu/). If you wish to participate in the workshop, please fill in the application form on the same website and send it to the SEUWG Secretariat (SEUWG@aprsaf.org) by e-mail no later than May 18, 2015. Further details will be forwarded to you as a final announcement.
