Due to Space Shuttle Columbia accident on February 1, 2003, NASDA
established the Accident Investigation Board to gather information
of the accident and to react to it.
Since the accident, Columbia Accident Investigation Status briefing
has been held periodically for Japanese media at NASDAi. Astronaut
Hoshide has attended it with NASDA engineers to explain the status
of the Accident Investigation Board and to answer questions from
media.
