The president of Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) is advised
by a consulting committee, the Space Environment Utilization Research
Committee. This committee has a Microgravity Science Task Force. Microgravity
science research areas are being discussed in this task force, including
research directions in the future and current targets of Kibo utilization
(concentrated areas), to organize the research areas and research themes
for each target. The results of the discussion will be reported as the
"Concentrated research area of microgravity and current scenario."
An intermediate report has been submitted to the space environment utilization
research committee.
JAXA invited comments from the public on this "Concentrated research
area of microgravity and current scenario" until the end of February.
This will be discussed further, reflecting comments from researchers and
the public, and will be submitted to establish the final version of concentrated
area and research scenario.
