Last Updated: November 2, 2012

The Bandung branch of LAPAN, National Institute of Aeronautics and Space of Indonesia, held the annual Space Science Festival* 2012, October 20th. In this festival, JAXA made the presentation on the microgravity science and demonstrated short time microgravity experiments using miniature drop tower. Students and teachers who participated in this event asked many questions and exchanged their ideas during the lecture and demonstration. Students had studied microgravity before the lecture and prepared questions. Interests in microgravity science are growing steadily through this kind of activity in Indonesia.

*) This festival is hold at LAPAN Bandung branch in October every year. A teacher and a few students per school are invited from about 50 schools. LAPAN introduced its activity and organized a picture coloring event for lower grades and a poster competition in this festival.
